OUR PRACTICE FACILITY
You will have to search long and hard to find a practice facility that compares to that of
LPGA International’s offering. Totally unique to the Volusia/Flagler area, it is what you
have come to expect from the home of the LPGA Tour and the Teaching and Club Professional Division.
We feature a main practice area with a 57,000 sq.ft. surface area of natural turf and 10 target greens. Our practice balls are constantly exchanged to ensure a top quality product. Titleist is our manufacturer of choice.
There are six practice putting greens throughout our facility so that it’s never too crowded to practice this vital area of your game. Several of these greens have bunkers with different face heights to enable realistic bunker practice. There is also a bunker reserved only for fairway bunker shot practice. Since we don’t play golf on a level surface, we also have areas for practicing on uneven lies.
As a rule, we play 60% of our strokes within 100 yards of the green. We have an area dedicated to short game practice that has three different flagstick positions.
In addition, we have a three-hole Practice Academy that features a Par 5, Par 4 and a Par 3. Our Practice Academy is maintained to the same high standard as our two championship courses. Each of the three holes has five sets of tee markers so that you may vary the length of the hole.
There are several ways to utilize our Practice Facility…from individual baskets of balls to our Game Improvement pass that includes 10 large baskets and 15 hours of use of the Practice Academy.
MISSION STATEMENT
At LPGA International Golf Academy, the golf instructional staff is dedicated to the improvement of your game. Our philosophy is to teach people, not systems or methods. No two people are alike; golf instruction should not be either. We cater to each individual and his/her needs, rather than teaching all students the same way.
Each student will be taught according to his/her own capabilities, physical characteristics and individual goals. Through your personalized curriculum, we will develop a lesson program that will sharpen your strengths as well as concentrate on the areas that need the most improvement.
Our professional staff will teach you the basic swing fundamentals and components, proper techniques and how to practice more effectively. We will focus on all aspects of the golf game including
- Full Swing
- Chipping
- Pitching
- Putting
- Bunker Play
- Mental Preparation and
- Golf Course Strategy.
All of this will enable you to develop a more consistent swing that can be applied to every club in your golf bag. We will accomplish these tasks through the usage of drill-work and other visual aids.
GOLF SCHOOLS
Our Golf Schools feature personalized instruction in a group setting. Taught by our professional staff with no more than a 3:1 student to teacher ratio, we will help you accomplish your goals. You will learn all aspects of the game both on the practice facility and on the golf course. There is more to the golf swing than what we can teach on the range, our philosophy includes learning the game where it is played; on the golf course.
